    06 white tacoma black 17' ssr wheels
    so the other day i posted that i found out my timing chain cover was leaking and that there was a tsb for that ran out at 60,000 miles and my truck had 64,000... so i made an appointment at the dealer and they said they would have to call a toyota rep to see if they could still cover it under warranty but when i got there i found out that apparently my truck has an extened warranty on so wooooohooo. free of charge.. i thought i was just screwed.

    yea i just found out my timing chain cover is leaking too, my truck is at 55500 miles... so im happy

    no pic yet, ill take a look when i get outside, do you know if they replace the engine oil when the fix the timing cover?

    im worried cause im running synthetic oil now, and i know they will put in regular oil... should i be worried?

    i am not sure, but is it okay to switch back and forth between synthetic and regular like that? i wouldnt think so....

    It's fine, that's a myth that you can't change between the two.

    I'd just drain whatever they put in once you get home if you're not happy with it. If you give them your preferred oil, I'd be willing to bet it doesn't make it in your truck when they finish the job.
