So I have had my CaliRaised lightbar and apex mounts installed for somewhere around 3 weeks
now and yesterday while driving around every little bump and dip and even on turns
I would get an almost sway bar type noise but a bit higher pitched. Stopped by dealership
and took a tech for a quick ride and he kind of thought maybe sway bar.
Of course first thing service writer brings up is about me installing and removing a lift, lol.
Anyway I make an appointment and when I get home being who I am I have to do some checking. Could push up and down fast on left front corner and get it to make a popping noise. Also if you are driving and crank steering wheel back and forth it would do it bad. I drop the belly pans and start checking everything over, all looks good and tight.
Go back up top and bounce truck, pop, pop, pop, hmmm. Open hood and try to get it
to pop, will not do it. Close hood, pop, pop, pop. Open hood, no noise when bouncing. Start checking around inside the front end. Found the center piece of metal that runs down and goes forward to the front fascia and upon feeling around the thin piece of tin was touching the light bar. When hood is closed it creates more pressure on the metal against the light bar. Bent the tin to the side, test drive, no more noise.
I guess I figured I would post this as a heads up for people in case they start getting a mysterious noise after they install their lightbars. If you are just installing feel around that
piece of metal and check the gap between it and bar. /end wall of text.... o_O
