I'm in the same boat. Tinted windows on the barc red looks sweet! I am going to do my front at 30%. In PA, 70% is legal so I am definitely running a risk. I have friends with 20% and they have not had a problem.

I have been known to drive home after a few and this is when cops are looking for a reason to pull you over and 'check'. With a child now, I don't do it as often so I am going to roll the dice.

If you are ever worried about it, just roll your windows down.

I can get mine done locally for $40 a window ($80 total) and it has a lifetime warranty on wrinkles, scratches or bubbles.

In Texas the law is 35% on the front sides and what ever you want on the rear and rear sides.

My last 4 vehicles, three 2-door cars and this truck have all been 20% in the front and 5% in the rear. I have NEVER had a cop say anything about them. Granted I roll my window down if I get pulled over 20% allows enough light through that the driver can be seen. IMO it’s when they can see in at all, you have given them a reason to pull you over.

20% in the front 5% in the rear.

For Stang 88. What band of film do you use? There a shop close by that uses 3M. Another usess Lumar, i had it before, seemed pretty good. I have not priced anyone. What brand do you feel is best & how much do you charge for just the front?

3M and Lumar are both good brands. I have 3M on mine and it has lifetime guarantee. Now, I don't know if it's the shop guaranteeing it or 3M but it's there.

20% should match perfectly from what I've seen. I have 27% because that's what is legal here.

I don't know if they do this elsewhere but most (all?) of the tint shops here put a sticker under the tint on the bottom part of the window with their name and the VLT of the tint and cops know to look for that. I've never been hassled at all.

Price should be approx. $30 per window. If you're paying more than say $70 to get the two fronts tinted, that's too much IMO. Of course, it depends on the going rate in your area, too.

I got mine done for $100 for all windows except the windshield. I did 20% on the front two and than 10% on the rest and it looks great. But than again it looks a lot darker on a black truck.

I did my tacoma using this tutorial. I tried this so called tintdude.com and shit someone told me about but it was too f-ing slow and yeah. Just thought I'd share the tutorial, it's really cool. And they sell these pre cut tint kits for cars pretty damn cheap... meaning no cutting. But yeah its a free

Can you see at all through your back windows? Limo + 20% factory lets about 5% of light through. That is DARK!

Let me tell you. When outsideeven during the day and your face against the window you can not see in the back ones. When I first got them and trying to back up I was like "s*** I can't see!". However you get usedto it. During the day there is no issue and at night you just have to be more careful but I can do it no problem now

You could always do what I did, since tint is illegal in CA I just got 70% on the front windows which makes a great UV shield and keeps interior pieces about 10-20F cooler than non-protected interior parts. Obviously, the darker it is the cooler it keeps it but I'm very happy and it's just dark enough at night to provide a little protection and make the interior darker.

When I had my front windows tinted, I told the guy to match it to the back as best he could but don't make the fronts darker than the factory tint in the back. So what does he do? Makes the fronts darker. He tells me the 1st generation factory tint is darker than 2nd gen. I told him to strip it and do as I had asked. He did.

Tinted tails, 5% tint all around, 3" tuff country lift.
Its all about the 3%! haha I just got mine done and yeah you cant see in it at all since i went 3 on the front and 3 over factory 20 on the back. Here in Utah you can only have 45 on the front 2 windows nothing on the windsheild and whatever you want on the rear and rear sides. No regrets and i Wave at cops. haha but seriously i have tinted tails and windows and i have never been asked.

My friend has 2% back and 5% fronts with the sticker thingy in SC
with 2% in the rears you have to open the door or roll down the windows in the back but damn that truck stays nice and cool inside!

The factory tint in the rear windows is about 20% so with the 3% ish it comes to what like 1?? haha I can see though it fine. this is my second car with the dark of a tint and by buddy has 5 all around over his factory plus 35 on the windsheild and a 10% strip. and his is WAY dark because of the windsheild tint. Just takes some getting used to and you'll be good!
