I wanted to see something before dropping the truck off tomorrow in the morning since they'll need it all day, so its OK. I agreed to 70% all the way around, but now I'm thinking maybe I'll do 50% all the way around and 70% on the windshield..

So if given the chance again, you would go 70% all the way around?? Does the 30% make it a bit dark for you? As I said, my main goal is the heat rejection cause my summers are routinely in the 100's and above. I'm thinking now 50% might be a happy medium for me on all the windows, since the rears will darken more with the added film.

Post some pics from the front when you get it done so we can see the windshield.

Of course man! I'll take pictures all the way around.

I'm definitely going 70% on the windshield. Still debating, but I think I will ultimately go with 50% everywhere else.

    Here's mine

50% on front windshield, and 20% on the side mirrors. No complaints, I love it.

Personally I'd go 40 which is the darkest 3M offers in crystalline, but 50 is a safe bet if you had previously been thinking 70. Either way, its gonna look good and reject some heat.

Nice man like I said, I’m super excited to see how it turns out. The summers are brutal here so it will only be a matter of time before I can notice a difference in the cab.

I’ll consider the 40% when I’m at the shop in the morning and of course I’ll post pictures when I get the truck back in the afternoon.

Hey, a local! I looked at a few shops around town. I went with Stereo Solutions on Hilltop. They are the only shop in town that does 3M crystalline. Reeves on East is also a very good shop. Basically each shop pushes a different type/brand of tint. You may have to do some of your own research and then base your choice off what you want most, either looks or practicality. You’ll be looking at anywhere from $400 to $1,100 depending on what and who you go with..

Decided to stick with the 70% 3M Crystalline all the way around! The shop skipped 50% and the next was 40%, which I think is a bit too dark for me. Pictures coming later today!

i guess that 70% on windshield in the real issue....yes it does cut out a tremendous amount of heat, but I wear sunglasses and late in the afternoon things do get harder to see well......all in all....70% front windshield may be too dark.....30% side windows and rear and back is still a good choice......i will be taking pictures later this afternoon and will post as an edit here

@MandosTaco I was looking into Reeves already. Definitely looking for practicality. We know how awful the summer is here lol

Seriously man, that's why I'm investing so much in window tint lol. I would definitely consider ceramic or crystalline if I were you. Reeves has good options too and they have good reviews. Their high end tint is the Ceramic Photosynch, I can't recall the manufacturer right now. Doing some research will help you lean towards one shop or the other..

I’m leaning to just doing a match. If it wasn’t my daily I’d black those boogers.

15% all the way around makes the inside nice and cool (cooler than 110) in the summer and is still usable at night in my opinion. Plus if you can't see just add more lights hahahahaha
