I paid about $320 for same setup down here in San Diego. Used a very reputable shop and they did a great job... But, ouch!

I paid to have mine done but I was lazy this time. My last 2 tacos tinted myself. its easy to just pull the skin on the door and pull out the glass and tint it. Then put it back in and done for just the cost of $12 roll of tint

Some things are just best left to someone who knows what they're doing. You spent good money on your truck. Window tint is pretty cheap in comparison. Some things you can cheap out on, others you shouldn't. Don't skimp on window tint or tattoos.

As far as I know the factory tinted glass doesn't have much in the way of UV rejection or solar energy rejection. Which is why I'm going to have my rears tinted with a clear tint that gives me that protection. I've been shopping around and the differences in price seems to be based on the quality of the tint.

I agree with these guys and everyone else saying to let the pros do it. I did mine years ago when I was just a young chicken. I understood the concept, but my job ended up having a fair amount of bubble's which eventually pissed me off, and led to me just ripping it out. Save yourself the hassle, time, and energy spent by letting a professional do it. It'll be well worth the money paid in the end. Everyone has their limitations for sure. We don't do this daily like they do.

Window tinting is not that hard. If it was a super skill required art, then tinters would charge $1,000.

I am not a tinter, have never been paid to tint windows. I tinted my own on a windows on a 4-runner.
Came out perfect, lasted several years, not one bubble.

    Don't tint your windows if:
    You are impatient
You won't take your time to clean the glass
    Can't follow directions

    Do tint your windows if:
You want to learn something new
    You have patience
    Can follow directions
    Like to save money
    By the good stuff, Llumar

    I live in CA.

I'm looking for precut, preshrunk, for the front three windows, driver/passenger door and front windshield.

I'll followup the front windshield with a strip of limo across the top, AZ style.

My BMW (recently total loss killed by a driver texting, speeding and veered in my parked car), had all six windows tinted.
The front three were lighter tint than the back three. This makes it look somewhat normal, or factory, or less obvious.

If you do decide to go for it, clean the windows, clean them again, watch YouTube videos, clean the windows, use good tint, clean the windows, don't rush, and if you mess up, pull the tint ASAP. It's fun, have fun, take risks. =]

That price is very reasonable for all the windows if they do a good job.

I tinted some windows in house and car in the past.

Tinting in house on a big window is difficult, but still easier than a car window, IMO.

Car windows are very difficult to get right and this is one of the DIY projects off my DIY list forever.

I used the precut tint on my old F-150. It turned out great and lasted 8 years until I sold it. When tinting windows, you cannot use too much soapy water.

For DIY, precut films are the way to go. Tried purchasing the regular tints back in the day from an auto store and it was a nightmare.

I went with TintPro on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PreCut-Wind...479218?hash=item488778b172:g:cJQAAOSwZ1lWepiN

For $26 you can't beat it. You just need some solution and various application tool kit. I just did the rear 2 windows and the back window in less than an hour. Had it since February with no bubbles whatsoever.

I had the front two windows done at a tint shop and was charged $60 - wish I found out about precut film sooner.
Hoping to redo the rears with a darker tint, maybe 15% over factory tint.
