Have someone else do it. Trust us. It only cost me $70 as well. If you've never done it, it almost certainly not come out right and will probably bubble. Most shops give a warranty too.

FYI, factory tint is around 25%. I had my fronts done 20% and they are a little darker.

Ive taken tint off before and I imagine putting it on would be even worse.
    What % are you thinking?

It is actually not that hard (for flat windows). curved windows on cars are tough and have to be very careful with a heat gun. I have done 6-7 cars and plan to do the Tacoma also. I do cheat and buy the precut film from a company on ebay based in colorado. $80-100 for just front two windows, i plan to do 50% on the rear and 20% on the front. Stock is not dark enough. You need to be patient and have the right tools to do it. I did my audi: [IMG]

I've tinted my own windows before.. several times. Came out great each time. However, I've also tinted several thousand other people's windows as well during the 10 years I tinted windows professionally:D

$200 to have all my windows on my double cab done. For that price it's worth not doing it myself, and I do everything myself

I used to tint windows for a living "many moons ago"...Trucks arent hard to do if you know what your doing, but at the same time I've seen ALOT of people make a mess out of them. If you've never done it before your probably better off going to someone who knows what they are doing, it'll look better in the end.

I've done a few of my own cars "back in the day" when I didn't have the money to pay someone else to do it for me. It always came out looking good.

If you do it yourself, just take your time and make sure you have plenty of extra so if you mess up you've got more and can keep working.
