Tinted my tails today.....

I think it looks pretty hideous myself, almost as bad as the 09+ stock style.

 

I don't like tinted tail lights..but again I mod for functionality not looks. I say keep it stock.

i like the way they looked with your brakes, blinker, and reverse on. but they really do look like crap without the lights shining through. maybe try to re-do them with like one light coat or a gray smoky color to make them look like they did with the lights on. i'd dig them if they looked like that, makes me think about doing this to my super white. although, the stock doesn't look bad on your red truck. just my worthless 2 cents.

 

im switching out....like now im starting to hate them.....
im gonna strip all of the paint off and do something else with them.

 

I'd through the stock one's back on for sure.

 

They would look better if they were high gloss! IMO

 

I used DupliColor Shadow Chrome Blackout on mine (i know its for chrome) but i did a light smoke n they turned out great
im very happy with the look

stock look good....dont be a ricer

 

It would look really good if it had a higher ratio of clear to black, but the way it is right now, I'm not a fan. Nice truck though man!

 

if I was was you, I would try a different clear coat... the red ones might look good they just need more of a glossy look to them same with the black ones.

look at mine, they dont look dull

 

I'm a stock tail light kind of guy.

 

Tinted too dark...smoked would look much better on your red truck.

 

tinted rear lights........hmmmmm I smell major liability suit if your ever rear ended. Sadly people sue over anything....this is an open door. I am just sayin....

 

Quick someone swap out lights with him.

 

I think they look alright, but its not my style. Specially with the red truck. Maybe if you smoked them lighter and not so dark. more of a transparent black so you could still see the lights pretty well. Just my .02c but to each there own, if you like them keep em on!
