Hey Guys has anyone tinted just the front to match the rear as opposed to tinting all around making the back darker. It never occurred to me to do just the fronts and after looking at my truck the rear is pretty dark, I'd be curious to see a picture if someone has done this.20210302_144315.jpg

if I had to do it again I would also have them throw some tint on the sunroof as the tinting from Toyota is not enough

It all depends on how much light the state allows through the tent like here in Massachusetts we only are allowed a 20% tint grade

Got mine done for like $60 or $80? Really brings the truck together.

That's exactly what I did. There was factory tint on the rear window and rear door windows. I removed the tint that the previous owner had put on the front windows (too dark for my liking). I had the front windows done in the darkest legally allowed here (which is not all that dark) or maybe a little darker, I forget now. It matches the rear almost perfectly. I also had the windshield done in the lightest tint available (almost impossible to see that its tinted).

My biggest recommendation is don't skimp and just go with the higher priced ceramic film. I'm absolutely sold on this and never going back. The difference in heat you feel from the sun is drastic - doesn't even matter how dark the tint is. We've had our CRV and my Tacoma done with ceramic and love it. I recently got another car that has tinted windows but not ceramic. Everytime I drive it I feel the sun on my arm and I don't feel that with the ceramic tinted cars. IMO it's well worth the $$.

^^^I also agree about using the ceramic film.

I called a place for pricing and he asked me just the front? I thought to myself that's a weird question, why would I only do the front.
I'll be alright, sometimes it take me a little bit to catch up
    Thanks Guys

That's SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) these days with most new vehicles having the rear already tinted.

I just had the tint shop match the tint on the rear windows for the fronts, on both my Tacoma and Highlander. Came out just fine and looks like a factory tint.

I asked my tinter dude to match to the rear, came out great. Had I known about the ceramic option, I would have asked for it. I'm sure I'll smack it with the seat belt buckle and mess it up like I always do. Then I'll swap to ceramic.

Back window glass is tintedfro factory and it’s not ceramic. Had every window tinted with ceramic even the windshield with Air80. Makes a huge difference!

I had my fronts done the same as the factory rears. Pretty damn happy with it. Not limo tint, and still legal in my state.I like.jpg

You couldn't swing a cat around here without hitting a car with illegal tint.
Police here wouldn't have enough hours in the day to write all of the tickets, although once or twice in 20 years I seen someone getting checked with the meter.
