@771Doug I cross the Mackinac Bridge, and there's a trooper stationed here and feels like that's his job...Tint and Semi trucks...A co worker has been pulled over 15 times so far in the last 2 years for tint. In Michigan, you need a doctors note for front tinted windows, and the douche checks every single time..

Does anyone know what percentage the rear side windows are at? Definitely want ceramic everywhere to keep the heat down inside but would like all the windows to match. Also thinking about putting a very like tint on the windshield and sunroof.

Ive ran 5% in the rear windows and 15% on the front passenger and driver side windows for years. Love it. I also applied noico red/black to assist with heat and sound.

Depending on where you live, tinting the driver/passenger windows might* get you a side of the road convo with your local HP. But tinting the windshield will* definitely get you pulled over. I've ran dark tint all around for years (minus the windshield) and never had an issue though.

I would suggest getting the clear UV clear film for the windshield. Stuff works great.

Thanks Theo. Thinking 35% on the sides and rear. And 80% on the windshield and sunroof to keep the interior cool and not attract attention from the HP. 3M Ceramic IR.

Factory tint does not offer UV protection .If matching for looks just front should be good . Want help keeping truck cooler ,tinting all back windows better option . They got different darkness or even clear tint that does blockUV. Learned about this when tinting my fronts .

Vehicle Factory Tints Do Not Protect Against UV Rays - AP Tinting

With that said you can just tint front for now and do back latter .But doing it once might get better price than doing latter .

I run VA tags as well and even though 50% on the fronts are whats called for, i have ran 35% for over 20years without an issue on the driver and passenger side. On the taco, i went 35% ceramic in the front and the backs meter around 8%. I would like to do 50% on the windshield but that dang inspection sticker still needs to be there. These are pics in the tint booth

I let the tint guy talk me into 10% all around

he said go 55% windshield that 70% won't reduce glare
I have to trust the professionals

I live near San Francisco and got pulled over for tint once. I'd rather not deal with the hassle but would love some UV protection. What's the lightest it goes?

Typically is 35% but each state has different laws
