As a past and retired tinter and shop owner 20% grey would be best...Do not let anyone talk you into Smoke of any percent. Smoke is a tad darker but they use blue dye to make the color tint. Smoke is made of black dye. What does that mean...two years or less done the line the tint will turn purple, smoke will not it will fade just a tad lighter. enjoy! PS 5% tint is dangerous for you and everyone else on the road! Don't use it!:D

ok so you tinted for a living, how long should I go before retinting due to fade? I was noticing that my wifes car windows are not as dark as they used to be.

personal preference. The glue is what usally goes first the tiny will start to release. The second thing, depends on how good of uv protection it has. Fade won't hurt anything. Matter of fact if your vehicle sits outside you will notice fading as soon as 3 months. Crack the window down look at the very top edge that will tell the story. Enjoy!

Hey here its the same laws abotu tint, but alot of the cops don't care as long as they can see through because alot of them don't have the tool to measure, as long as they can see through they don't care because its a safety thing, so if cops do pull you over, push your gf off you pull up your pants turn on the cab lights on so they can see in, and even better roll down the front windows so they have no idea if you even have tint..

I just went to my local tint shop, they charged me 70 bucks for the front two windows to match the back. I dont think there legal but i just hope the cops dont give me any shit.. like the other guy said just roll the windows down when you see a cop or just dont do stupid stuff on the road and they wont mess with you;)

Do 20% grey tint will match perfect, white and light vehicles will show tint darker, dark cars will seem lighter
