Tinted both front windows on new truck. Match from outside is very good compared to the two back. From inside out there is a difference. Guy says Toyota is very hard to match with 3m as Toyota has a patent.

Passenfers side looks like this. Notice gap all along top of glass. Drivers side has a gap of about 1/8 or less. Passenger 3/16 to a 1/4.

Looks fine to me? If the window is all the way rolled up it won't make a difference.

What are the legal tint laws in your State as that might be why the fronts are lighter? And seriously does it matter that much that there is a 1/8 difference in either top window edge?

I want to say that mine didn't have any gap...I'll have to check in a week or two when I can roll down my windows. I just dropped my truck off to get the whole thing retinted...they scratched my tint..on every window so they're taking it off and putting new tint on.

You'll never be able to really match the color of the rears but it helps if you make them darker using the same tint on the front. I added 20% tint all around and now the color matches pretty close looking out albeit the rears are now almost limo looking in (what I wanted).

The gap on top of your passenger window is kinda nit picky takes an installer with real attention to detail to get it perfect (and those guys aren't cheap)... but also how long did you wait before rolling your windows up and down?? I often see a larger gap when someone accidentally rolls down their window within 1-3 days of install (depending on your local weather), even if you roll it down just an inch then back up it can pull on the tint and cause it to slip 1/8" or so.

Mine matches perfectly. 27% front 70% rear.

The gap is normal, I'll check what mine is.

My tint from inside to out isn't a match but that doesn't bother me. Outside to in is good.

The gap would bug me but it depends on the tinter themselves. mine is flush. I'll post a pic later but here's a vid of my tint

Mine looks like this too. And the guy that did mine has $500k + super cars imported to him just so he can tint them. I'd say everything is normal here.

Honestly they could go all the way to the top, but the way they've done it is perfectly fine. Probably better in some ways.

Where I live and in most areas that I know of close to me you cannot tint your fronts as dark as your rears for police safety reasons. They even make you roll down your window here and hold their key to it if you claim it isn't tinted at the front.

I'm at tint shop, one look, he said he'd redo on the spot. So, no hassle getting redone.

It was stated not to roll down my window for 24 hours. I didn't roll down for 3 days.

Drivers side is good, tight to the top. When window was half way down that line bugged me. Truck is a week old..... I don't like birthmarks!

While it's nice to hear your getting what you wanted. Try not to fret the small stuff. :)

It's is the first time I've tinted windows so was sure. He had no problem taking care of it so hopefully it will be fine.

I'm mid aged to old ja ja.... 45, and if there is one thing that bugs me these days is it seems quality and customer service have went to shit in all segments. This guy took care of me on the customer service side. I'll ensure to put a post on his website stating his excellent customer service. One step at a time..... make America great again!

Looks normal. I've had several cars and trucks done. The gap happens sometimes or could be from slight movement with the film settling. I wouldn't even worry unless you can see the gap when the window is rolled all the way up
