We are working on getting one for heat removal, but otherwise It doesn't bother us much, just open the window behind the stove and it sucks out most of the steam/smoke from cooking.

Nah it's all good. Plenty of ventilation for that not to be a problem, but we are looking into one regardless.

Out of curiously I didn’t catch what you’re doing for heating and cooling? Also do you have hot water? Curious because I’m wondering if you went with RV style units or some sort of on demand setup.

Mitsubishi ductless mini split system. Crazy energy efficient and very quiet.

Terrific thread @CerberusRising ! Thanks for posting the link in your other thread.

Curious as to your electrical panel, 100 amps?
Also, do you have any leveling system and/or system to tie the place down?
Did you hook up a septic and leach field?

Great stuff! Thanks for posting it:thumbsup:

I think if you painted the side that's exposed white to match the rest, it would blend in a lot more.

@OZ-T brings up a serious concern

The way u sealed that tiny space up with foam no way I’d run that range or oven without a window wide open. those things churn out a crap ton of CO. Do you have a detector?

We do have 2 detectors, one on the ceiling in the kitchen and one in the bathroom (closer to the water heater. No alarms as of yet. Even when cooking with 3 burners and the oven for breakfast the other morning.

So good news, we secured new land! 32 Acers in rural SC. It's raw land so we've gotta bring in power and drill for a well but it's great to know where we will be for the foreseeable future.

My mom and dad purchased this tract with the sole purpose of building their dream house on it, and having enough room for us to move on as well. With so much land it will be two separate households when we need our privacy but when we need each other we will be only a few min walk away. The place is beautiful, wild and untamed but tons of potential. I look forward to exploring all of it.

As of today 04/27/19 the only things left to be finished on the house are these.

    - build and seal a shower
    - finish putting down our flooring on the 1st floor
    - finish putting down trim and moulding on all windows, doors, and corner joints
    - put a vent Hood over the stove
    - build cabinet faces and install drawer hardware for cabinet-stairs.
    - buy a TV for the living room loft
    - buy a couch for the LR loft.

    On a bigger scale

    - move the house to the property we just purchased.

^this. I’m a firm believer that as long as you can the land for FMV and it has future potential land is never a bad investment long term.

Got our driveway culvert put in, power coming in next week or maybe the week after depending on weather.

Also did some mowing for the first time. Rough terrain.
