Guy shares tip for proven way to keep eggs from breaking...

... immediately, people start telling him that he is wrong.

The immature kids have really invaded this forum since the first covid shutdown.

I'll wait to be insulted now, go ahead little fanboys.

    1. Break eggs into vac seal bag
    2. Freeze
    3. Vac seal
    4. Thaw
    5. Freeze flat
    Profit.

This is how I freeze liquids, I don't have a chamber vac sealer. Works for soups, broths, marinated meats (I'll freeze in soy sauce, then thaw in the marinate for a day or two before cooking).

Update - everything in that cooler fed two people for 9 days. Color me a convert - I'm a fan of the carton method now. It packs in more compactly than a dozen eggs, and the trash pack-out was ever so slightly easier without adding shells to the mix.

And surprisingly, on roads that rattled EVERYTHING loose, we at least suffered no casualties in the food cooler or the booze fridge. Thank goodness I had the foresight to wrap my booze bottles with towels every night. That was more luck than skill, but still a win. The trailer lost external hatches while internal parts needed daily tightening. One of the spare jerry cans broke free of its ratchet strap and spilled water all over the luggage (and thank goodness it wasn't the gas can or propane mount that decided to go). But the fake eggs remained contained!

And as far as taste goes, if it's mixed with chorizo, bacon, and percolated coffee, you really can't tell the difference from a real egg anyway. So that's a win also.
