Tip Top Mine Closed?

Hey all. Relatively new to the forum and hoping to get some insight from the group.

I was thinking about doing the trail up to Tip Tip Mine this weekend. I have never done the trail before and my friend mentioned he read somewhere online that the road was closed. No idea why. Curious if anyone has been up there recently and knows if the trail is open.

 

I went out there a couple months ago and it was open. There are a few washes that could have definitely blown out from the rain over the last 6 weeks so I dont know what its like right now. When I went it was super easy going though, a Subaru could have made it.

 

Thanks for the info. Not sure I like the part about the Subaru. Maybe I should find a more challenging trail...
