Haha., yea I'm tryin to get shit done before it gets cold as fuck out.. I pulled the sliders so I could bed line the rockers, but ended up just knocking alot of the dent out and touching up the paint. That's how it will stay for now. Gonna sand/paint the sliders and reinstall soon.

I Did find a moderate oil leak post-Rausch, afraid it's a rear main seal :censored: , but hoping it's just a valve cover gasket.

If I had another set of wheels like u got my rig would be collecting dust too!

Truth, I'm having way too much fun with the new car right now to even think about the truck

    Quick lil update:

I had the truck into the dealer on Saturday for a frame inspection.. It passed with flying colors!

Today I hit a few small rust spots on the frame with some Rustoleum Rust Converter, then covered the entire frame with Rustoleum Undercoating. I then re-installed my sliders which I had removed in order to repaint them. I'm happy that I had the foresight to buy bolt-on sliders for things like this.

Got a couple little things to address in the next wk or two then I will be ready for winter!

My only regret is not getting bolt on's for this reason. I hate that they are in the way when I want to try to paint the frame or that the body is in the way when I want to strip and paint them. Oh well hindsights 20-20.

    Use your chemicals !

Apply KILZ with brush to remove paint/bedliner/other coating.
    Scrape off after bubbling.
    Apply OSPHO with a rag.
    Mask body with newspaper.
    Spray Primer.
    Spray Paint.

Hmm never though of using a stripper. Always used a flap disc or wire wheel which is great for easy to get spots but the harder to get spots are definitely more difficult. Which KILZ?

I went with bolt-on primarily b/c I didn't know any welders at the time, but figured I would want to take them off for one reason or another down the road.

Chemical stripper is a good idea. I used a high concentrate paint stripper on the PC'd OME coils that I bought used and it did a great job. Noxious, dangerous stuff though!
