Right. See my follow up post. The unconventional terminology threw me off:

    No worries.

Don't know if this qualifies as a tip. I use mostly use Alexa to listen to audio in my truck. When the source is not bluetooth I have been reaching over and pressing source and then picking my source. Pressing audio twice in a row brings you to the sources menu.

Great info here. I am a first time owner of a 2016 Tacoma Offroad. I have approximately 6k miles on it now. May sound petty but every now and then when I start the truck the heater and heated seats are off instead of where they were when the truck was shut off. Dealer says is not happening often enough for them to trouble shoot. (only happens willy nilly no real pattern). Even though they witnessed it first hand twice. Has anyone else had this happen. Would like to get remotest art installed but if heater won't be on when starting truck kind of pointless.

Is the heater off or is it waiting for the truck to warm up before turning the fan on? It will warm up quicker that way.
My heated seats stay on if I leave them on.

When I shut the truck off the heated seat is on and the fan is running. I always run it in the auto configuration. When I read start the truck the seats are off and the heater is off. You can turn it back on but it should return to the last setting when the truck was shut off.

Maybe you can get the dealer to check it by plugging in your truck to tech stream.

The dealer is pushing you around and will do so until you instruct them what to do. It's your choice, not theirs. Call Toyota Corporate. This feature is not working the way Toyota intends it to, therefore it is malfunctioning. Call Toyota Corporate if needed to get dealer's attention.
    F#@&ing dealers.

    Damn gpb, you old.
As far as the blue tooth problem, I listen to audio books over blue tooth just fine. It may be a cell signal problem or an app problem. Try playing some audio that doesn't stream and see if it stops/interrupts.

I thought rider was a typo for driver too.

I know this is an old post but I had the same issue. My problem was the file name. Can only be 32 characters long

Wondering if anyone has had the same problem, pretty often when I start the truck it will connect to bluetooth right away and start streaming, but the audio is sped up, and cuts out every few seconds. If you turn off bluetooth on the phone and then turn it back on and allow it to reconnect it works fine.

Yes I am having the same issue, dealership tells me no problem found after updating the software. On the way home it cut out again after switching sources and then back to BT. Very annoying.

This could be phone operating system and version dependent as I haven't experienced this issue myself. It could also be based on the version of entune you have currently installed on your head unit.

Possibly, more than likely the phone since the dealer updated the Entune system. There are 2 players on my phone and I thought it could be fighting for control. For now I am going to deal with it until I get a new Samsung phone soon so I have Qi charging, hopefully the problem will go away. Good to know it is not a common known issue.

I personally stopped using the QI charging since USB was much faster.
