something that I saw over in the "what did you do to your 3rd gen today" thread needs added to the list!!!

I keep seeing the rear view mirror riser accessory. well, someone figured out the stock mirrors are double hinged - so just take both hands from the bottom of the mirror and push up pretty hard, it'll slowly rise on up about 1.5"-2.0" AWESOME!

I guess you could say you have your seats folded down almost the whole time?

    That's the best I have.

Just called the dealership to ask about checking transmission fluids. They said it would be free if it was low, but 500 dollars to do a check. For transmission fluid. I politely told them to fuck off. Sunnyvale Toyota everyone.

Michael Toyota in Fresno did mine, no charge. The service dept follows sites like TW and is fairly current on the talk of issues. Said they know some trucks are low. I was only 1/2 qt so they topped off

Nice. I would consider, but Fresno is a bit far from the Bay Area haha. That's what you get living here. Software Engineers and internationals that don't know anything about stuff not related to tech so they happily, unknowingly, pay ridiculous prices for anything. I'm a software engineer myself and it's ridiculous. I need to move back to North Carolina lol.

The only way to turn it off is a permanent fix and you would have to remove your center console and unplug the wire that is connected to that light.

So this worked for me: for messages to work with iPhone you can't have quick phone contacts on your home screen. Don't ask me why I found it on another forum and it has been mentioned here too I think. I got rid of quick contacts and deleted the phone/re connected and Now it works great every time.

Anyone know of a way to lock the doors with the fob while a door is open. I've never owned a vehicle with keyless entry that couldn't do this. Even my previous car, a lowly Ford, could do this!
It's a pain when trying to remove cargo using both hands, then trying to lock the doors after closing with no hands available. It's much easier to just lock with the fob, pick stuff up, and hip-check the door closed.
I know it can be done using the button in the door, but that requires the extra step of getting out, opening the rear door, then going back to front door to push the button.
    1st world problems....I know....but still...
