I'm not sure if this been posted. Here a tip to get into your nav diag screen. Purely for info only.

    (b) While pressing and holding the "AUDIO" switch, operate the light control switch: Off → On → Off → On→ Off → On→ Off.

To get out of diag mode. Press and hold the "Apps"
Button below Audio for approx 5secs and the radio will reboot.

The navigation does self diagnostic check on the audio/video system.
If there's any issues codes will pop up i.e 22-41.

I wish. Wife's 11 year old accord lowers windows when you hold the unlock button. How could it cost anything to have included this feature?

I've had 3 Hondas and hate this feature. There is no reversing it. Holding the lock button doesn't roll them up. Running to your car in the rain and hold the unlock button a little too long? Windows roll down and rain gets in until you can get the car started.

I would simply like the windows to be like on Gen2 where they react to whatever you do with up down button. eg. On Gen 2 you can lower window & quickly raise by just pulling up on button. On Gen 3 you lower, then you have to bring button to rest/middle, then you can raise by pulling up on button. Sounds minor, but if going down highway and want to quickly lower then back up, takes an extra few secs to raise again.

i think he's talking about remotely. on hondas, if you press and hold the unlock button on the keyfob, all of the windows roll down. this is supposedly useful on hot days so that you can roll down all of the windows to let the vehicle cool off a little prior to entering. or maybe so you can roll down all of the windows and let the passengers/kids get in while you are loading stuff up into the trunk (or truck bed, in this case).

Just joined after reading all 110+ pages in this thread! Great info!

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is the security of the tailgate. In the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas, thefts are fairly common. Locking the tailgate doesn't seem to stop them. A simple addition that will slow the thieves down enough that they may go somewhere else is to put one of those hose clamps that consist of a metal band and a screw tightener around the passenger-side hinge point (as soon as I get familiar enough with this board system, I'll post a picture.) It's a much cheaper solution and just as effective as the purpose-made locks you can buy at auto-parts stores around here. Okay, it's already on the forum: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tailgate-theft-how-to-prevent-it.27829/

I didn't see many responses to the operation of the 6-speed automatic. I've used it extensively on a recent trip (not towing anything.) If you are in D, engage the cruise control, and then move over to S, cruise control stays engaged, and the display indicates 4th gear. If I bump forward (+), the tach shows a slight drop in RPM at the cruise control speed, and the display goes to 5. Same thing if you bump again to 6th. I've bumped down back to 4, and even 3 with no effect on cruise control, but I can tell by both the tach and the engine sound that the transmission has shifted. In any of the S gears I've tried, cruise control will downshift to maintain speed, and you can use the accelerator pedal to downshift if you need to pass and don't want to disengage cruise control. Unfortunately, the display only shows the gear you manually selected -- it doesn't change when the transmission shifts in response to load.

In any vehicle I first own, I test the operation of the "fuel low" light by carrying a gas can and running until the engine starts coughing (I don't let it run completely out of gas!) With the MPG average showing a bit over 20, I got a little over 60 miles after the "fuel low" yellow light came on.

My Taco really doesn't like it when you keep adding gas until the filler neck has gas in it. Even with the gas cap correctly installed, the "check engine" light comes on, and stays on until you burn off a couple of gallons of gas. The next time you start up, the "check engine" light is no longer illuminated. And, as has been reported, when the "check engine" light is illuminated, cruise control is inoperative.

    Enough for now!

Good stuff bor ! I drove mine on 0 miles to empty (with yellow light on) for about 15 miles. When I filled up it held 19.56 gallons. I'm assuming a 20gal tank ?

Unrelated, but what I found interesting is that these trucks don't appear to have in line fuel filters
