IIRC, 21.1. Light comes on - 3 Gal left. E - 2 Gal left. Test at your discretion.

I'm with you, how do you delete radio stations? I want to delete my XM stations and don't know how!

As far as I know you can only overwrite them.

Like I mentioned above, one way of knowing if the alarm will work or if you do have the system is the security light. If the light is flashing when activating the alarm (lock doors with key FOB), either the alarm wasn't armed or you don't have a factory alarm system. The light should be steady on for 30 seconds.

Understand -- I only do it once, to find out how much the tank will really hold, and how the system reacts.
That agrees with my experience -- light comes on, average MPG ~20, 60 miles until fumes, so "light on" = 3 gal left.

I removed the GoPro mount from my windshield -- I have another camera system with its own mount, and its located in a different place. Used one of those wire "survival saws" to get under the mount, then used a razor blade and some GooGone to clean up the residue.

Is there a setting to suspend the voice prompt when a call comes in?
Is there a setting to suspend the audio system when voice prompt is talking?
Is there a setting so you don't have to confirm whether you want to send one of the quick messages? I find that doubles the danger of sending the message in the first place while driving. Just send the GD message!

Well here's the answer to my first question:

Thank you for contacting Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.
We appreciate the opportunity to address your inquiry regarding the navigation voice prompts in your 2017 Toyota Tacoma.
The navigation system voice prompts cannot be turned off when a call comes in.
Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters.

I'm glad I'm not the ONLY tech manual geek in these forums! I read tech manuals for casual reading -- it drives the wife nuts! Lol! Amazing what you can discover in the manuals sometimes though! <g>

Whew! Made it to the end! LOTS of good info, but I sure wish more people would RTFM! (Or at least read the first post of this thread, when their question is answered there!)

One little tidbit in the manual that I haven't seen mentioned for you 4x4 folks. How many of you run in 4 WD at least 10 miles (16 KM) once a month to keep the front drive components lubed? It was just an easily missed blurb on page 250 of the 2017 Tacoma Owners Manual, FWIW. >smile< For most of us, that probably isn't a problem, but many like me live in a Metroplex and primarily run in 2WD mode.

Several have asked about map updates. Does anyone know if this web site: https://toyota.garmin.com/toyota/#getStarted is for the Entune Navigation System maps, or a previous version? The web site really doesn't say. :-( It *sounds* about right, but since my Taco is only a month old, I don't want to attempt it.

    Cheers!

First Tacoma/Toyota (two days ago) and first post. Great thread, but I've only read up to page 40 so far. But I came across this on the truck already. I hope it hasn't been covered between page 40 and this page.

But this question sent me to the dealer today. I thought this could be condensation in the instrument cluster. I live in Hawaii, so it can be a common occurrence. The dealer said it's normal.

What is that "splotchy" background design? Did some artsy fartsy designer think it looked cool - or is it supposed to be or mean something. I'm glad to know it's not just on my truck.

That splotchy design looks like broken pavement or rocks IMO. Just a design feature I guess.
