Will do. The Spokane area is really nice. We've been there many times on road trips, but no wheeling yet. I need to fix that.

I'll see if I can get something organized. A few of us are going to see what is happening around the Snoqualmie summit this weekend. We don't think that we will get in very far at all.

One thing on the back burner is maybe heading to Bozeman if GFC has a big gathering?

They don't turn on automatically in the rain unless they would already be on from it being dark enough . For example, if it's raining but not very dark, turning the wipers on won't turn the headlights on. You have to turn them on manually if your state requires lights to be on when the wipers are on. Our older chrysler did this automatically.

This one has me stumped. What does Gear top right mean?

I did manage to go to Settings, but my Vehicle is blacked out, meaning I cant press on it????

I believe the gear is the symbol on the Settings button.

Were you moving? I think you have to be stopped / in Park for that to work, unless you have an override cable.

Wanted to add one in here. I'm annoyed as hell that the cruise defaults to "radar assist" mode when you just tap it to turn it on. I wanted my truck to go a certain speed and let me pass as I felt necessary. While driving it on my first 200+ mile excursion, I found my truck would slow down WAY too far back from the next person in front of me (at its least sensitive setting), making passing difficult.

So I read the owner's manual, and turns out, if you hold the cruise button instead of tapping to turn it on, it goes to "steady speed" mode instead of radar assist. Just something that I found out that was annoying me that someone else might like to know.

Not sure if anyone has addressed this but you can fix that uneven stock rear bumper gap found on most 3rd gens. Remove black plastic cover, loosen four 12mm bolts top and bottom on both sides, adjust, retighten and replace cover. Make your perfect taco more perfect.

Also, if you own a manual transmission equipped Taco, no one will ask to borrow your truck. Lol.

#10 - I have to admit that I wasn't sold that the trans would stop the very annoying hunting so much as it "learned" my driving habits and I used ECT mode most of the time because it drove me nuts. I decided to give it a chance to "learn" and just left it in the D mode. It finally starting to get better as it approached about 1250 or so on the odo and it seems to continue get better as time/mileage goes on. Gas mileage also improved by not using ECT mode all the time. Thanks for including the #10 info in your tips!!:thumbsup:

I don't know if the tips are necessarily meant to be taken as "fact" or simply useful information. All I know is that I find it informative and helpful in some cases. As it relates to my comment about the 6 speed auto trans constantly hunting when the truck was new, it was spot on in my case.

I have been searching through threads and cant find this anywhere. At some point I saw on my 2018 TRD OR that there was a selection to have A/C Auto on but now I cant find it. (Of course now that I want it, I cant remember where) Anyone have this knowledge?

Do you have the package that lets you set a temp? If so, there's a button inside the temp knob that does the auto control.

yes I do but that is not what I am looking for. There was a setting either in entune or the speedo cluster that said AC always on and I shut that off cause it was winter and when using remote start it would have heat on with ac and I didnt want that but now that it is 80 out I want that to cool truck.

Hmm... I don't think I've ever seen a function like that.

But I did notice that. But I did notice that my A/C has been turning on when I hit Auto now. Maybe it's based on the ambient temperature?
