Mine has the choice for it on the handle. DRL, then park lights, then turn on the fog lights.

Ok, I'll bite. Turn your parking lights on, then turn your fog lights on.

That's pretty simple, but the fog lights do not come on in my truck when the DRLs are on so I never really thought of it having the parking lights on instead of the DRLs. I have to have my headlights turned on.

The park lights have to be on before the fog lights come on in my truck.

Okay...yeah this is right. Sorry for the confusion.

Is there a way to to always on fog lights? To have them on WITH the DRLs and not at least the parking lights?

I just learned today that if your listening through Bluetooth you can skip having to go through 5 popups to get to the playlist you’re listening to. If you’re at the audio menu and tap the album artwork it will go straight to the current playlist.

hmm doesn't seem to work on mine. i'm wondering if it's because you're running the JBL system? i dont know if the interface runs any different on non-jbl. also, are you running music from your phone's music player? i tried doing it while running spotify and it didn't work. i don't have any music loaded into my phone so i couldn't test that out.

Spotify & Pandora are no-go, unfortunately. I should have included that. Only Itunes/ apple music worked.

That’s the fun of this website. If you haven’t already done so, you might want to take a peak at the “What have you done to you’re 3rd gen Tacoma today,” thread. A lot of good info there

I just came across this thread a couple of days ago. This item in particular interests me, but I haven't got it to work in my 2017 Limited (Pushbutton Start and AT). Are there any "tricks" involved in getting this to work??
I'm just trying to open the driver door, lean in (keys in pocket or on the seat) and start the truck.

I read this a long time ago but never tried, until now.... and it just worked for me (2018 TRD Sport). I thought maybe your problem would be the door being open, but I tried with the drivers door open and closed and it worked both ways.

Just confirming - you did have the fob in the cab, yes? And pushed the start button once, released, then held it down for about 15 seconds, yes?

I tried first with the key in my pocket, leaning in to the truck. Didn't work. Then I tried with the key laying on the driver seat. Still nothing.
On one or two tries it went into ACC mode, which I think is normal for two presses?
I may not have waited a full 15sec after the second button press. How long did you wait between presses?
I did notice the "Check Charging System" warning appear in the column display.

EDIT: Ok... Operator Error. I just didn't wait long enough. I would say it takes a full 15 seconds. Thanks for your help. :)

Gotta new tip for how to clean your Cluster/Instrument Panel Lense without scratching it all up. For minor dust, film and finger prints simply use Microfiber Lense Wipes made for glasses. They are inexpensive and can be found at any drug or department store. Won't scratch.

I agree with this but will add that to keep most dust from getting inside the panel I took a circle of the soft side Velcro and cut a small X in center and placed over the knob.

I never had issues with dust inside but nice idea. I live in the Adirondack Mountain, NY. Not an issue here like maybe where you are from.

Most likely a stupid question, but how do you remove the SD Card Reader cover/door without breaking it? Does it come completely off or is it hinged?
