    Yup @trialsmm
    As noted in #286

You'll never be able to hit recirc and just Defrost on any newer vehicle. Will have to select at least one other vent (ie foot)
There's an electric bypass if just Defrost is selected - its a double negative :) Us Canadians:canada::canada: understand why you would never want that. A
But for warming up interior recirc is :bananadead::bananadead: awesome.
Also if you hold the recirc button down for a few seconds it will NOT automatically go back to fresh air after a few moments.

Yes that's to reset your tire TPMS when you rotate your tires.

ok. Now, for the silly question (sorry I'm not mechanically inclined): why would the tire monitor system need to be reset after rotating tires...does computer get confused which tire is located where?

I am not seeing an option to prevent this. Nothing in door lock settings that would denote correcting this issue.

The other options on this menu screen are climate settings and lights settings. I have the car running and don't see anything.

The door chime can only be turned off by the dealer. Pages 592-598 of owners manual list what can be changed and how it can be changed. I had to review my source.

Just FYI. The owners manual, maintainance manual, and entune/navigation manual can be downloaded to iBooks on your iPhone. Much easier access than carrying the manuals around. just google 2016 Tacoma owners manual.
View the PDF then open in iBooks tab upper right.

Yes sir, I am aware of why manufacturers are switching to electric systems. I don't like them because the ones I've driven have poor driving qualities. I prefer good steering feel over any minor increase in fuel mileage. I don't care some much about good fuel mileage.

Is there an alert for leaving your lights on? I have gotten out of my truck and realized I left my lights on and it didn't make a sound but a lot of times it beeps at me telling me my door is open. I can see that my door is open. I won't always notice that my lights are on. Seems kind of strange.

There is a setting for the time the lights turn off after getting out and closing the door. I believe if you have your headlights set to auto no chime will sound and the default setting is 30 seconds. You can adjust it to 0, 60, 90. Page 203 and 597 of owners manual. I am not at my truck but I think it chimes at any other switch locations other than auto. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

I cannot conceive of a reason to reset after rotating the tires.

sport/limited/off road with tech packages have the auto lights (probably default no chime...so we don't have to worry about it). Now the SR5/SR models might have to worry about Leaving lights on...so they may have a chime/warning in place.

Oh. Thanks! I didn't even think about the fact that they would turn off on their own. I drove my last car for 10 years so I forgot auto shut-off headlights was a thing.

I had to reset mine after having my wheels swapped out and my stock tires put back on.

It just doesn't show you your tire pressure on the screen in your gauge cluster.
