I figured out how to lock your keyless start FOB inside the truck. An example of when this is useful would be if you are going for a run, backpacking trip, kayaking, etc. or anywhere where you don't want to risk damaging your FOB. This way you can just carry the key from inside the FOB.

The remote can be disabled by holding the lock button and hitting unlock three times. This will disable the remote until a button is pushed. You can then lock the door my using the lock button on the door, or by using the key. For extra security you can get a magnesium shielding box (my dealer threw one in with my purchase), and hide that inside your truck.

And not carrying those manuals around in the glove box frees up a lot of room in there...

Also, isn't this only true for trucks with the JBL sound, as that subwoofer occupies the passenger side storage compartment.
Without JBL, both sides have the same storage compartments, don't they???

I believe the question of storage space behind driver and passenger seats is trim specific, but cannot confirm for all models.
My belief is that only trims with JBL lose rear passenger-side storage space. Trims without JBL should have 2 identical storage spaces on driver-side and passenger-side.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The seats fold 60/40. The passenger side has more storage unless it has the subwoofer.

Not sure about the passenger side having more space without the subwoofer since I have the Limited. Can anyone post an image of it being the same without the JBL? Once posted, I can edit the post about the space.

Here's a terrible "Toyota Tips" Flyer I made for you last night! I have been considering tinting the tip of my windshield because of the sun that seems to always blind me from above the mirror. I figured I'd make a stupid photo thingy because why not?

It took me way to long to realize that the sunglasses holder can block the sun.

This is true, JBL takes the storage space behind passenger seat.

If you're not so worried about someone breaking in and trying the keyless start, one can also:
    1. Leave the fob (less the key) in the vehicle.
    2. Lock all doors using the driver push button "lock". This will leave the driver's door unlocked as it won't let you lock your fob in the vehicle as a failsafe.
    3. Close the driver side door, manually lock the driver door with the key.
I used to use this method when leaving my dog in the rig on a hot day, with the a/c running and when going for a hike or run.
    Cheers!!

    1. If you turn the truck off, phone charging via cable also stops. bummer, would be nice to over ride this. i.e. my phones low on juice. anyone know how to override it?

You can wire a 12v constant to the usb behind the dash or inside the center console where the cigarette lighter would go.

Great app, will now take the manual out of the glove box. More gun and ammo room :). I was already signed up at the dealership somehow but did not have the app on my phone. Thanks

So I down loaded the TO app.... Thanks for the info. One question, is there a way to move chapter by chapter instead of page by page? Thanks in advance.

Wow, this post has an amazing amount of information. I love it and all the little bits of info.
Question. When sweeping out the tailgate on these 2016... if you notice all the dirt you sweep out with the tail gate down is going to go straight down into the crack behined the rear bumper and stay there. This area is packed with electrical wires. Seems like there should be some rubber skirt to keep this crap out but there is not.

Anyone notice this and have a solution.
