I have the tow package but not the hydraulic booster. The one big difference between the ORD and the ltd is the crawl control so my suspicion is that is part of the setup.

After some searching I found this on the forum: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2016-trd-sport-vs-offroad.380566/#post-10448087

It would appear that the OR model with crawl control has the hydraulic booster. Now that is narrowed down, I have no idea what the bracket does. It is moveable? Meaning, can you pull it one direction or the other? If so, maybe it is used for diagnostics. If not, then chalk it up to a curiosity.

I don't remember if it's movable. When I get off work I'll check it out.

There was a separate post about Entune stereo turns itself on and off by itself. Anyone else got this problem? I have a moth old 2016 TRD off-road. Occasionally the GPS/audio turn itself off then back on again. Did it for the first week or so after I got the track, now everything is working fine. The iphone has been connected to the bluetooth from the beginning. When the system restarted it kicked-off the bluetooth connection as well. The only "change" after which the Entune is not turning off was NOT plugging the phone to the USB port for charging. Could USB connection potentially create the problem?

Hey i saw the quick tip that states that you can have recycle and defrost. I tried it today and could not get to light up. I have OR with tech and tow.

Anyone know how to make the steering wheel controls go up and down SiriusXM stations rather than the presets? Very annoying

Probably a rookie question here but what are some signs of low ATF fluid?

My theory is that because the TRD OR master cylinder assembly is so bad-ass, it's too heavy for assembly folks to install by hand. So they use some sort of lift assist and it needs some way to attach that doesn't interfere with alignment and mounting activities. Therefore (my theory goes) they added the hooks as a way of attaching the lift device.

    Prove me wrong.

Yes, if you hold the up or down, rather then click it once you will scan up or down, but only though the category stations.

I am seeing something different with mine. I have a 32 gig flash drive and have copied around 1500 .m4a music files to it. The MP3 player will only read the first 500. None are in folders. If I browse I can see all the songs but they will or play. When you choose one after the 500 it shows a / where the artist and song Should isplay. I have aaudials tunebite which allows you to convert music files to any format. The .m4a format is an excellent quality and it plays great for the first 500.

You should have a folder for each artist with a folder for each of their albums under that, and then the songs in the album folder. This is pretty much the standard way of setting up music on a computer (which Entune is).

top things i got out of this thread:

turn off truck before opening door.
all electronic settings and warnings accessible through entune apps->vehicle->vehicle settings/customization.

also. no matter the topic people are going to find a way to be buttholes about something.

    thanks for the tips!

You can, but don't use the defrost button. In the fan settings there is one setting for defrost/foot, that one will allow you to turn on recycle air. Not full defrost but works. Defrost button does not allow recycle air active.

For this one I go into Audio, then pick Satellite, then List at bottom of screen, then List All, and use the screen to choose between stations. Not as handy as the steering wheel button but works good for me.

For XM you hold the channel up and channel down and hold for approximate 1/2 second and should go to next XM station

Anyone know if we can access all of XM radio stations instead of just the very few in the menu?
