Only options I know of is
1 lock/unlock when put in park/ taken out of park
    2. unlock when drivers door is open
Believe you get to those settings in entunes setup.

There is an option on the Carista app to unlock when the engine is turned off. If you don't have Carista you may have to have the dealer do it for a manual

One of my best mod purchases my opinion. I got the Carista OBD Bluetooth connector. It connects right up. Disregard in their info that the 2016 isn't compatible. It totally is. I like that I can make changes and if I don't like it I can change back or try a different options as often as I want. Turn signals, door locks, chimes, beeps, defrost A/C, interior lights, seatbelt chimes, for the money some of us spend doing expensive mods to our trucks this is a deal. There is a thread in the forum on it. You pay a one time $20 in app purchase unlimited changes and the cost of the OBD connector. Think it was under forty bucks. The cost of sitting at your dealer for three hours for him to do it.

Anyone have any idea about the high idle on the 3.5? Sometimes the idle sits around 12-1300 rpm and other times around 5-600rpm. I give it plenty of time to warm up and the engine temp gauge agrees but the idle does not automatically kick down? On previous vehicles ive owned I could either tap the gas or shift from P to D to disengage high idle. I'm thinking shifting from P to D, R at 1000+ revs is going to cause excessive drive train wear over time?

Toytec has some kits that are tested and approved for the 2016. If youre looking for just "level" look into the boss 2.0 coilover setup they offer. It has plenty of adjustability to level it out and leave the rear stock. Allot folks are also using the bilstein 5100s with out issues.....yet. They are not approved for the 2016 yet.

I used to have an 04 n colorado and used to use cheap e85 gas on base and costco. But now that i have a new '16 Barcelona Red DCSB, I only use e0. Anyone else using pure gas, or am being a diva. Is increased fuel efficiency and engine preservation true? Or shud i give in to the corn industry? Thanks in advance, and if this is the wrong forum pls let me know.

I don't actually know... are '16 Tacomas e85 aka FlexFuel capable?

Long story short unless you have a tune the makes use of e85, just run your normal unleaded gasoline. Better power and mileage.

If i remember correctly, the gas cap says nothing greater then e20 or 20% ethanol. Here in hawaii only about maybe 1 out of 10 gas stations on oahu have pure gas, so i can only fill up at 1 gas station by my house. But i think its worth it. Thanks for the input @memario1214!

My idle sits at 550 to 600 when warmed up. It jumps to 700 to 900 when the air conditioning compressor is turning. I have never had it go 1300 while idling. Have you tried hitting it into Neutral?

It's pretty easy to make work. Go to your iPhone and go to setting then Bluetooth. Once you can see where the Toyota Tacoma is connected just tap the little blue circle with a 'I' in it. It will change to the next page and all you have to is turn on the "show notification" . And that's it! Back out and your text will now appear when you are connects to the vehicle.

Pretty normal for mine to idle at 1300 at start up on a cold day. Nothing odd there, every vehicle I've owned including my Gen2 did the same thing. Maybe just warmer in SoCal compared to here in the morning. Once warmed rpm drops down to 600-700 rpm at idle.

Thanks, did a little research and it sounds like the norm. I live in Phoenix and know I'm giving simple warm up time. I just wish there was a manuel kick down.

Honestly, I haven't had a kick down since I had a carb with an auto choke. It's all in the ECU programming, reads temp and adjusts idle speeds accordingly, amongst all the other sensors.

I had a simliar issue that was more like the idle "sticking" in my 03 F150 that turned out to be the idle air control valve. I replaced it and was good to go. I can't imagine this being an issue on a new truck, but I figured I would throw it out there. I will say that I have limited knowledge on anything vehicle maintenance related, but since the symptoms sounded similar I figured I would share my experience.
