Go back into accessory mode. Push the start button twice without your foot on the brake.

Do they dim? Or just look dimmer with the headlights on?

If there is a way to keep them bright with the headlights on, i would also like to know if this possible.

If you want the infotainment to stay on when you turn the engine off and its an automatic transmission turn the engine off with it in neutral then shift to park, accessory mode will stay on for a while after that (not sure exactly how long).

I tried looking but didn't see a similar thread. With push button start is it normal to be able to drive as far as I want without the key? I discovered that once you start the truck you can drive wherever you want without the key present. It does give a warning once in awhile but that's it.

I don't want to do this on purpose but thought it was not normal and a security risk.

Yeah if your in the vicinity of your fob when you start it you can drive until you shut it off or run out of gas. One thing to remember when storing your key on a hook near the truck in the garage. Learned this lesson with my motorcycle, don't store your key fobs near the vehicle in the garage..Not sure of the distance , but I think its like 5-10ft...

For the Toyota cargo net - where does it attach?

If there were any instruction, they were tossed out with the packaging...

it loops over the bed rail cleats. either parallel to the cab or you can run it lengthwise on the bedrail.

That is not normal.. Mine shift to 5th and 6th just by tapping it... You should definitely have it checked ASAP.

Short trips? Our trucks will not shift to 5 or 6 until a certain coolant temp has been reached.

I don't believe it actually shifts into those gears when you shift the numbers up and down. IIRC it's a limiter, so if you have it in 4th it will only go up to 4th gear and no higher. Shift down to 3rd and it won't go higher than that. It can still downshift to 2nd or 1st though.

It's not a true manual shift mode.

When you shift to S mode it goes into 4th gear....It will NOT go into a higher gear unless YOU push the handle forward into 5th gear, or 6th gear...

The gear showing while in S mode is the HIGHEST gear it will go into.... This is what gives YOU the control of gears... understand..??

When you go to S mode it ALWAYS goes into 4th... it will shift down and up, but will NOT go above what you have set....ie: 4th.. if you want higher .... push the handle forward to give you 5th...or 6th... your choice....

It's a great tranny.... if it takes missing a hockey game and READING the manual then go for it......then try it out ..!!

Hope this helps... All is normal..

Is bad to keep the fob near the vehicle? My car is garaged over night and i just leave my keys in the center console. I did this with my altima and never had any issues. Thanks!

Bad?!!! not unless someone breaks in and then they have full access to taking your vehicle without having to search out the key. Not sure about if this will run down your fob battery quicker because its always working...
