I got these N-Fab "wheel to wheel" nerf bars at runningboardwarehouse.com Great price n free shipping. It comes in flat black or gloss black. It also has a 3rd step for the bed option if you want.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

    1. Usable capacity is not the same (=less) than tank capacity.
    2. Running a tank nearly dry can reduce cooling to your fuel pump. I have no idea if it's really an issue on the Tacoma, but I doubt it's helping longevity.

Based on my experience comparing fill-up vs. Distance To Empty, my rule of thumb is 25 miles past 0 DTE. That might give me a few miles of margin, but I don't count on it. I don't typically run past 0 DTE because my commute is about 40 miles and I just fill up at the next opportunity after the low-fuel indicator comes on.

Went to dealership to turn off door chime if door is opened before truck is turned off -- We could not, for the life of us, find this option in the toyota software / laptop. Not sure this feature can truly be turned off.

If it's the driver's door, I just reach back and bump the door switch once and it stops. Not saying that makes it OK, but at least I can kill it easily if needed.

just noticed this today: The posted speed limit in the multi-media dash compass screen gets a red box around it if your driving over the speed limit, and the red box goes away when your under the speed limit. Now, there is no red box for the Navigation screen's posted speed limit logo (at the bottom) if your speeding.

under speed limit, so no red box:
    IMG_0624.jpg
    speeding...note the red box ! :
    IMG_0625.jpg

no red box in Navi head unit:

That only shows in the compass screen, is that right..?? That screen is something I would not use at all....too bad it doesn't pop up on whatever screen you choose.. Maybe, just maybe, when you customize that center screen you might be able to put that onto the one of your choice... I'm going out there and check that out......

    Thanx... will let U know..

OK, I do not see any option to put that speed limit feature on any of the other screens.....I'll have to check to see if I have it on the compass screen as well...

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!
I believe it comes on while driving using the nav system.... I could be wrong...

I have a feeling you could use voice command to say "Pause Route Guidance"...could save messing with a lot of buttons/menus. Anyone verify this? I will try later and report.

UPDATE: It works! By using the voice command "PAUSE GUIDANCE" and "RESUME GUIDANCE" I could easily control my destination. Next, I used the voice command "DELETE DESTINATION" and it stopped my destination, but did not eliminate it from my library of address for previously used destinations :) I wish they would have named it "stop destination" instead of "delete destination", that would clear up some confusion.

note: I also tried the commands "pause navigation" and "resume navigation" and found out they do not work.

...^^^... I like that color and finish ... your nerf bars are gloss finish, I am guessing ?? ...... I went to the web-site that you mentioned and found many options there. ... was there a reason that you picked that brand ?? ..... thanks

PS .... Nerf bars are on my short list

You can get it back by pushing the circle with the i in it at the bottom right of the nav screen.

your right! I just tested it out on the road. The "i" toggles between "final destination arrival time/miles" and the "posted speed limit logo/current road name". Thanks for this great tip:thumbsup:

The Entune premium audio system has this thing called Cache Radio. It will store up to 20 minutes of whatever station you are listening to, and allow you to rewind to repeat the broadcast. You access the feature from the little arrow on the right side of the display. Memory resets if you switch stations.
