I imagine it also makes it easier for the truck to track which tire is in which position for the dash pod tire pressure display.

Question..? I have the premium and tech pkg. with the JBL upgrade and noticed that i used to get the weather update on my touch screen but now it doesnt work.
Does my phone have to be in sync or should this work with HD or Sirius...?

I found I got weather and traffic updates only when listening to FM HD radio. When I started using a 16GB USB stick chock full-o-music, I didn't get the traffic or weather. That leads me to believe that it's tied to HD reception.

See page 142 of the Entune & Navigation manual.

It's tied to the HD reception and also can piggy back off of your Entune app on your phone per the manual. That's what I do and never have issues. This is on the first page of this thread at #6.

I believe that this is a "safety feature", so that you can ensure that nothing odd is going on in the truck, before you unlock it.

    6. The truck will chime if you open the door before turning the engine off and keeps chiming until you close it after exiting the vehicle. This can be disabled. You can disable the chime. . The truck must be running to access this menu.

I can't find the setting for this open door chime. You say Apps>setup>Vehicle>vehicle customization

What is the sub menu after >vehicle customization? I thought I had this figured out with Carista but it is still chiming.

I don't think this chime can be disabled. I've searched for the option numerous times but it's just not there.

I'll review it again, I never turned mine off because it isn't an issue for me. I"m pretty sure I saw it when someone mentioned it.

Yeah I don't think you can disable it. Very few mods in that sub menu. Appreciate you looking into it.

Page 593-598 of owners manual. Door chime shut off can only be done by dealer or Carista app

Just read through those pages again, and the only one that sounds close is "Open door warning buzzer," but that's for whether it beeps at you if you try to lock it with a door open.

I've been through all the settings in Carista (borrowed the dongle from my brother so I can't go check again right now) and I don't think it's in there either.

Aha! A kindred spirit. I am working my way through this entire thread, and while I have learned a few things, the one thing that I have truly learned, is that my reading those manuals (cover to cover) may indicate that we are in a minority.
