...And my answer still stands that what he needs most is to get seat time. The best offroad mod for the truck is experienced driver period.
Otherwise you can have very capable, and much more expensive truck but still end up like this

You just got the truck, not sure where you located but look up Toyota club near you and see if they can get you on the runs with them.
Best mod and it is low cost. :proposetoast:
With 10 trucks around you you dont have to worry to get stuck and you can learn what mods to do to make it capable and how to do them on the budget to have money for even more mods.

Wow dude 0 for 4...maybe tomorrow will be better for you.

OP there's lot's information on the here and people that will help you out, just ask your questions. Also as a point of reference, you can search a lot of info too if you just want to look at threads. Eitherway and congrats on a nice truck.

Don't know if anyone already mentioned this but always let someone know where you're going and when you will be back. Just incase something ever happens they know where to start looking.

Yes, join a club. Some of the finer points aren't apparent and you won't learn from simply just driving more. I never knew about airing down, and didn't really consider the benefits of downshifting an auto in 4L.

Trial & Error is for deep pockets. Learn from other's experience, and you'll be a much safer, much more competent driver.

also, in a desperate situation, you can use your bed mat under your tires to get out of a rut, however this isnt something i have done myself. again, desperate situation
