Tips to fix small hole on side of seat

    I need advice on fixing a small hole in my seat. Any tips for the best way? I saw some seat fabric repair and color-matching kits on Amazon for $9.

    I've seen a very similar hole on other Tacomas, and wondering what others did to fix it.

    I have the exact same thing.

    It’s a truck, I used an iron on patch. It looks fine and I don’t care. Lasts for 6 months or so. 10 minutes to replace. So far the hole hasn’t grown. I had a upholstery place quote me $100 or so to replace the panel. I’ll probably have all of the foam replaced when I finally fix it.

    The same shit everyone else has.
    It’s a common thing from crushing the bolster sliding in and out of the truck.

    Mine has the same hole. I installed a set of seat covers to fix it. 4 years later, the seat cover has a matching hole in the same spot.

    The knob causes the hole. Some people have removed the knob and ground it down smaller or replaced it with some other kind of smaller knob.

    Yup. I knew it was the knob. I actually thought about trying this repair kit

    THIS is a great idea. I might have to just get a Tacoma patch of some sort and iron that bad boy on. Just kinda a weird, sideways spot that gets smushed daily.

    I found a few patches. Might go that route. Although Clazzio look nice. Hopefully they have a TW discount.

    Still haven't fixed this tear. Getting bigger. Might try a fabric upholstery repair kit.

    Or I might get an iron on patch from REI and iron it on. Haha.
