    Good to hear you had success.

    Reminds me of an aluminum seat post I’ve got in a very nice steel-framed bicycle. It ain’t ever coming out.

    After doing a some google research on galvanic corrosion, bicycle seat posts were a common issue.. one guy said he ratchet strapped the seat securely to his bench(the bike upside down.) Then used his bikes frame as his leverage.. think of removing the bike from the seat instead of removing the seat from the bike haha.. maybe give that a try?

    Tried everything but. I’m aware of the technique, but it’s an all or nothing proposition.

    If I’m looking at the OPs problem correctly, I’d guess he’s got a quarter to 3/8” of material stuck. That seat post is frozen for at least 8” maybe up to 12. I’d like to lower the seat a bit, but I’ve been riding it that way for 22 years, so why change now.
