I recently purchased a 2006 tacoma and this is my first truck. I hear alot of God things about these trucks and would like to know how to keep this thing running for a long time. It had 128,000 miles on it.

keep up with the scheduled maintenance (see you just bought a used 06, i recommend checking out your spark plugs, others on here have reported previous owners being lazy and not changing them). also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to apply fluid film or some other DIY frame coating, especially if you are in harsh winter climates. lately, the older 2nd gen tacomas have been having frame rust issues similar to what the 1st gen went through a few years back.

Cool. Appreciate the help all. I live in California in the central Valley and is almost hot most of the year with some rainy days.
