Not that I'm aware of, nothing about them was called "extreme". They are E load range though, and they were brand new in that photo

Yeah that's about right I think. When I first got my truck from the dealership though the OEM tires were around 40 PSI, which I would never run on at 10 ply tire (with a mid sized truck I should add)

I'm trying to fit 265/70/18 and no one could give me a answer. If you still got lots of room I should be fine lifting it 2"

I was able to find TRD Pro 4R Wheels (17s) for a good price.

I’d like to avoid any lifts but do like the look of a 275 tire. Anyone know if you can go 275 with no rubbing and no lift?

    Thanks!

In my experience, the answer is no, you will have to do some trimming to avoid rubbing if you don't have a lift. I have an Icon 2-inch lift, and when I installed it, I dialed it down about a half inch to 1.5 inches of lift, and I have rubbing with my 275/70/17 tires. The rubbing occurs when I take a 90-degree turn off a road into a parking lot when the ramp into the lot is a little steep; the front tire on the inside of the turn hits the rear area of the wheel well. I need to crank the lift up I guess. When I'm driving on rocky trails I'm going slower, and I don't take hard turns with any speed, so no rubbing yet. I haven't hit any whoops with speed (like they do in all those damn Icon videos), so I'm not sure how that would go. Heading out to the desert in 2 weeks so I'll find out soon...

P.S. My Icon lift - at 2 inches - is supposed to accommodate 285s, so I figured that at 1.5 inches it should be okay with 275s (and I'd have a slightly lower center of gravity). Guess I figured wrong!

KO2's probably the mosy aggressive all terrain tire, maybe consider Nitto Ridge Grapplers too. For me, MT all the way.

Me too. They are way too stiff above 35 psi. I have them down to around 30 psi now, and it helps the ride a lot. But IMO, way overkill for this truck. I wish I had gotten C-rated tires. City streets and little bumps and potholes are WAY more noticeable and harsh. They sure do corner well and drive nice on smooth pavement though and never have to worry about flats...

I agree with your review of yours. And also agree that I will probably go c load range next time. I do feel confident through all the construction zones here on my 10 plys though

Cool. I’m right down the road on Coursey. I’ll keep my eye out for that quicksand.
