    Maybe more like polishing the sides of your soles. Polishing the tread would be like polishing the bottoms of your shoe which is certainly pointless.

    I like to put the shine on but use one (303) that protects against UV too and then wipe it off after it sits so its not super gunked up and is more of a satin shine.
