There are vehicle scales everywhere that you can use, however I think he's referring to the load ratings for his specific truck.

With the stock tires(P and euro metric) at recommended pressures, it's 2,149 lbs per wheel/4,298 lbs per axle. The engineers decided a capacity of 1.5 times that of GVWR, is the suitable inflation pressure for P and euro metric tires.

LT tires are inflated to a capacity of 1,954 lbs...

Winter pretty much already does the airing down for me :anonymous:

Just a random sampling and not even close to the most extreme but... Wednesday afternoon commute vs Thursday morning is going to have a greater than 5 psi difference. How many times a week do we really air up or down to meet the weather? I usually adjust if I'm more than 10 psi off target, otherwise I'd be breaking out the compressor daily.

We're a bit cooler here and fairly constant temps, I check mine a once a month or so and adjust accordingly. Our colder weather dropped mine a fair bit lower than I'd like for winter. Currently 30psi with near max load on the truck and icy roads. I have air bags that I check every few days (slow leak in one).
