My opinion, I owned both these tires on my Jeep.

I liked the Duratracs for almost everything better, except mileage.

BFG all day. Duratracs have weak sidewalls. One trip out on a VA/WV mountain trail, we had 3 Duratracs go down to sidewall failure. More folks were using BFG and not a single one of those went down.

This is just my experience though...

They rock in snow, are fairly quiet, and last a long time.

Cant speak for the BFGs. I had the duratracs and would never buy them again. They were fine when brand new, but once they had some miles the wet traction completely dissapeared and they never balanced. They get super noisy also.

I have falken wildpeaks now, and so far they are much nicer.

Out of those 2 the duratrac. Those bfg pack with snow and won't clear it well.

Hankook dynapro AT-m, they work great in all weather. I don't like spending $800 for LT tires that's the price for full size trucks. I paid $577 out the door.

245/75R16 P rated, The E rated is not snow rated. My truck rides like a shit brick house already so I don't want E's lol. My buddy has run them on his 2500 plow trucks and work trucks for years with no complaints. Road noise in good and not a rock thrower and no MPG hit.

Loved my Toyo All Terrains! Last forever great off road if you're hitting sand, dirt, gravel. Quiet in my opinion. Never any problems in the snow

I've had both. Have Duratracs now. KO2's are absolutely worthless in mud. Duratracs are about as good as an all terrain can get in mud. Dry traction is a wash. Wet traction goes to Duratracs. Snow goes to Duratrac by a HUGE margin. Wear is about a wash, except KO2 traction fades fast once they start wearing. Duratrac a bit louder but not bad. I've punished both off road. We have a lot of slate and shale around here. Like razor blades.....Not a single cut, abrasion, or chunking on the Duratracs......Sidewall issue a myth.....Would not even think about owning another set of KO2........Duratracs still high on my list when it's time for another set. I'm at 33.000 miles on current set of Duratracs. Very little wear. No drop off in traction even with the wear. Noise level will go up if you don't keep 'em rotated. Quiet as day one if rotated every 5000 or 6000 miles. Will probably see 65,000 miles at least. GREAT for a good off road tire.

Do you know if there is a difference between the Duratracs that walmart sells and the ones sold elsewhere?

BIG difference. Walmart doesn't sell Duratracs.....They sell Goodyear Wrangler Authority's. Different tread pattern. More "A/T" than the Duratrac. Still a great deal and a really good tire. Many people on here run the Authority's and report them to be a decent tire.

Duratrac is a more aggressive tread, making it a more effective mud tire.

20% off road is a lot of offroad miles. I can't recommend either tire but if your off road that much you way want to get some load range E or separate set for that. You're talking 80 miles offroad per tank of gas. I suppose offroad could be dirty roads to some people. But I view it as trails, desert, rocks and mud.

    Had both.

KO2 = Decent but more looks then performance, the "BRO" tire

Duratracs = Good on road performance and great off road performance, more serious off road warrior
