ok i know that there are approx' 199900 threads on this...

I DD this truck, I wheel a few times a week (trails, hills, mild mud, sand)... Not planning on a km2 or mtr/k until i do a lift. so here are my choices..

    Nitto terra grappler

    MT ATZ

Toyo A/T (i know this and the nit to are said to be the same, but I'm sure some still prefer)

    BFG a/t

the size will be 265/75/16.. unless i get wheels also, then i'll jump to a 17" i believe.

i personally believe all of these tires will work great in any weather. dry, rain, snow, ice... (although ice is ice and once you lock brakes you are fucked til they unlock)

and let me know if you think i should do a 17" either way.

thanks. hate me if you wish for making another tire thread.

BFGs. Everyone says they are over hyped, which I don't think so. I've owned 5 sets of BFGs and 1 set of the grapplers (current).

I voted BFG's. Personally I've had both the BFG's and currently have the Hankook Dynapro ATM's. Both are excellent. Looks wise I like the BFG's. Price and sensibly, I like the Hankooks. About the same traction about of both.

Yup. I voted bfg but, especially for the price I like my at3's alot. They function better then my bfg a/t's did too. I eventually got bulges in my bfg's so the wheel wouldn't balance.

To sum it up: at3 discoverer is one hell of a value.

    And I say no 17's.

    Long live tire threads.

Out of those choices, BFG. My personal choice is the Duratracs which I'll be buying in March.

I voted BFg. Thats also what I'll be getting in the next few months.

Had them on my 4 runner and I loved them. Not even considering anything else.

I find the BFG A/Ts are not too loud (I use for DD). I air down for off road to about 20lbs and haven't been stuck yet. I would recommend these for sure...

Thanks for all the input guys... I like the duratracks too but have heard the tread life isn't "very" long... I drive about 100 miles a day just for work.

I also want a d rated tire. Have heard bitching that the duratracks are a bit weak in the side wall, however they are huge in the taco world... Ahhhh!!!!!!!

    tire choices drive me nuts!!!!!!

Like a steering wheel in my pants.

I'd try the Mickey Thompsons or the Terra Grapplers.

If had more money to throw down I'd probably go with some KM2s... but, for the price, Hankooks are pretty sweet!

I love my BFgoodrichs, Nittos are overly expensive :) get the BF's rotate them every oil change and have them for 50k!
