    Levelling, rims, tires, intake, exhaust,
Ive got an '05 double cab with levelling kit. I have 18" KMC xd monster rims (18" x 9") I ordered a set of Nitto Trail Grappler MT 275/70r18 tires. Are they gonna fit the rim okay? Right now I'm running Toyo open country at 275/65r18. I have a new relentless fabricaztion bumper mounted (Thanks Eric) So front clearance is not a prob, but I may have a little rub on the back of front wheel wells. My question is will the tires fit those rims safely, and how much trimming will I need on frame member in back of front wells?

As for the tires fitting the rim safely, Nitto will least an approved rim size for each tire size on their website. As for the tire fitment, that's a bit over a 33", but you might be able to get it to work since you have the relentless bumper.

Their website says 7.5"(8.0")8.5" for rim measurements. Does that mean a 9" will not work?

It means they don't recommend it, because a wider wheel stretches the bead more than a a skinnier wheel, and in their opinion, it is not safe to run that size tire on a 9" wide wheel.

HHHMMMM, thanks for the response...... So would that void any warranty? or will Les Schwabb still do the install? I really don't want a wider tire than that.... because the dimensions all change..... want to keep it at about 33 to 33.6 outside rolling diameter on the tire.... a wider tire equalls more rub at full wheel turn on the back of wheel well etc..... CRAP what do you think ...Im running a Tuff Country 2.5 - 3 " levelling kit. What say you?....

Why not 285/65/18? That's a very popular tire.

Taller tires equal more rub too. Even people with 255/85/16 rub because it's a 33".

Or 285/60/18, you could run that with no rubbing. Some people even run that on stock suspension.

I am running 275/65r18 all terains now, And I just wanted a little bigger tire. I just think they look a little small with my current settup. Was hoping for equivelant to 33 or 33 1/2" tire to look a bit better...

People usually have to trim a good amount just to fit 285/65/18, which isn't even a true 33".

I dont mind trimming a bit, I just don't know if they will fit on my rims (KMC XD series rockstar - 18x9" wheels.) Nitto website says 7.5, 8.0, 8.5 recommended.... will they still fit on a 9" rim safely?

Safe is a relative term....all I can say is that nitto says they arent approved.
