Hey everybody, new to all things tire and lifts, I know tire questions are way too frequent, but I truly dont know what it is I'm doing, and any help would be appreciated.
I'm thinking about doing a 2.5 inch leveling kit, with an add-a-leaf in the back. The wheels I'm interested in are the American Racing ar172 Bajas. I believe the correct tire size would be 275/70r17, but am not sure if this would work with that lift and wheel. I also dont know if I would need spacers or not. Please, any help would be so appreciated. Thank you guys in advance.

Those tires should be work with a 2.5" lift. I have noticed a number of people on here running that size. The wheels appear to be 17"x8" with a 4.5" backspacing. That is a good combination of giving clearance at the UCA while also not sticking out so far that it will rub.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Welcome to TW! Where are you located? I have those wheels and can show you what I have done with them. They are 16x8 though with zero offset. I currently have 315/75r16 (35”) on them but 25*/85r16s sit quite nice (33”). I am replacing them with SCSs if interested as well.

I've actually looked into the BFG 255/80r17s. I'm wondering if those would work as well with such a height difference and being skinnier
