I am about to throw on 2" on lift onto my 17' dcsb. Currently running 275/70/17 KO2s of the TRD pro wheels. What size tires should I upgrade to with the lift? Was thinking about 295. Thoughts?

I wouldn't run 295 with only 2 in of lift, Falken sells 285/75/17 WildPeak A/T3W's, they fit rim width from 7.5-9.5, If you've got the wheels I think you have, you're running 17x8's which means these will fit. Also, what lift are you thinking about installing?

The 3rd gen bilsteen 5100 kit from headstrong with 885 coils and 1.5" rear spacers. I've had it waiting for a couple months now. Just haven't got around to getting it installed.

Ah, ok. Yey I would shy away from 295's unless she is a daily driver that doesn't go out much. You're asking for tire rub. If you really want to run 295's, then you'll need to do a CMC and probably firewall beating (I'm not to familiar with 3rd gen geometry, so someone else will better explain this for your specific truck), as stated by @JLee
You'll need to do CMC either way, whether you run 285's or 295's. Hopefully this helps and Jerry can explain more.
He sells CMC plates for all gens here: http://www.bayareametalfab.com/CMC-Cab-Mount-Chop-Brackets_p_15.html
His thread explaining CMC and how it works (install w/pics) is here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/b-a-m-f-cmc-plates-cab-mount-chop.192527/
Make sure you specify 3rd gen when ordering, 16+ are different than us 2nd gens, 2005-2015.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
If you don't want to trim then stay under 285. If your fine with cutting you can fit 37's on a stock tacoma if your willing to do the work to make them fit.

Will 295's rub with a 2" lift? why yes, yes they will.

Keep the tires you have .... whats the point getting rid of perfectly good tires to get what a VERY small amount of change... then have to chop and grind?? The real problem is your wheels.. you need more negative offset that will push the tires out away from the frame and suspension .... now you need new wheels and tires... I'm glad I could help!
