Wildpeaks and Rocky Mtns are different. Rocky Mtn is more aggressive and E load range. Wildpeaks are P or C rated and aren't as thick sidewalls.

I'd recommend wildpeaks for on road use. cheap, light, and not aggressive at all. but offroad loop lacking. shallow lugs and superficial designs make them worthless in sand and mud.

GY DuraTracs. A little different on road at first, but quick to adjust. No more noise than BFG AT I drove for 10 years. Much better when wet. Will get these again. I got the E load (not sure I needed it) because of questions about sidewalls. Much better treadwear than anticipated. Almost 25K miles and running strong.

Great ideas here. I'll work through this list. With traveling 1000 highway miles per week though, MPGs and handling on wet pavement will be important and may be the deciding factors. I'll be sure to fill everyone in with a photo once I figure it out. Thanks again

At the end of the day it is a compromise. And perhaps that is the reality. I'm glad y'all picked up on that. Hadn't looked much at the Michelins but will now. Still liking the BFGs ATs, Geolanders, and Coopers AT3s. Now to find out if any of these are just terrible for 1000 miles a week. Will also check out the one stop link mentioned above

Based on your miles per week and what you just said about your driving I don't think there's anything other than the ms2 that will work well for you. Like the other poster said, you're going to have to compromise somewhere so it comes down to looks vs performance.

The bfg at KO are supposed to last awhile.... Its an ancient design and should be put out of its misery but they last forever I hear.

Just don't use em in much snow, mud, loose dirt. And u should be OK.

The Goodyear Adventure is a nice looking tire but I have driven it on a 4runner and a tacoma and they perform terribly on wet roads compared to the michelins I run on my own truck FWIW. I know they are an AT tire instead of Hwy but the difference was huge. I wouldn't buy them.

Ive run bfg ATs on every truck I have owned. They have been around forever and never been redesigned because they work. I lived in Ohio and ran them in snow and mud and they do well. I keep running them because they are dependable and can average 50,000 out of a set. They are pricey but as long as you keep them rotated they will last.

I have the General Grabber AT2's. They've been pretty good. My one complaint is they pick up rocks easy. But they are quite. I have about 35,000 miles on them now and they still have plenty of tread left, and seem to be wearing even.

x2. Had Rocky mountains. Seemed nice and looked cool. But I just upgraded from 32x11.5 15 to 33"bfg T/A ko's and MAN what a difference!! WELL worth the extra $. Great great tires. Awesome traction all around. I have always had a bad wobble from my rear end and I took it in multiple times to get balanced but they told me it must be something else. I then started thinking it was my driveline. But after I upgraded to the bfg's? Niiiiiice and smoooooth. No more wobble or anything!!! Now this MAY have been due to big o not balancing them correctly or even the fact that discount stripped all the previous weights and put all new ones on, but regardless I am convinced it was them falkens. But yeah, you can literally hear it on the street just how well these bfg's grip. The falkens seemed like they had hardly any grip. But if it's used as a strictly street tire for a budget then I'm sure they'd do ok. But man I can't say enough how much better the bfg's are. They used to have treadware warranties but no longer do. Not sure why. But I buy all my tires from discount and always get the replacement warranties anyways so that kinda cancels out the treadware warranty anyways. So yeah, that's my personal experience anyways. Ha. Not sure on other brands, but I think I'm set for life on these bfg's:)

I recently upgraded my factory 07 Dunlop's to BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain. The new tires when going down the highway feel like your are riding down a dirt road full of potholes. I may be exaggerating a bit, but the 7 year old bald and dry rotted Dunlop's were smooth as butter in comparison. And people here crap on Dunlop's. Just my 3.7 cents if you can pick up what I'm puttin down...

I think you'd find the Nitto Terra Grapplers will wear too quickly. I have a set of those on right now. I use my truck primarily as a daily driver and go up the forest service roads about once or twice a month. I have been seriously considering the BFG Rugged Terrains next. From what I have read they are directly marketed to drivers that stay mostly to the highway but are off-road capable and look a little more aggressive then similar tread-life tires. Tirerack reviews are generally very positive.

This is funny to me because I changed from BFG T/A ko's to the Falken Rocky Mountains and like the Rocky Mountains a lot better. Don't get me wrong, the BFGs were great tires, but the Falkens just felt so much better to me on and off road. I hated the BFGs in the snow and the Falkens were absolutely fantastic in snow/ice. I also ran into problems with the BFGs chunking and never had any issues with the Falkens. I guess to each his own. Then again I had the BFGs on an '86 4Runner and the Falkens on my 09 Taco... that may have made the biggest difference haha.
