Typically I just pull what ever object it is out of the tire and plug it. Call it good and carry on.
But today I found a nail in my tire but it didn't go through enough to cause a leak.

My question is, should I just leave it alone?
Or should I put a little Tire Rubber Cement in the hole?

The reason I ask is I've heard if water get in the hole it could cause the steel bands to rust.
I honestly don't know if the hole made it to the steel bands.

Like I said, I usually plug it and carry on. The plugs acts as a seal around the bands.

Remove the object and if it isn't leaking don't worry about it if you are sure it didn't go through. If it were mine I would plug it.
