Hey all, big shot magnum here with a quick question. How do I turn off that whacky lil tire pressure code. Not sure why it came on, but my pressure's good. I have stock tires and wheels so nothing's been tampered with. Thanks in advance for any help!

check the spare, if it's good hit the reset button below the steering column if you have it.

No. Your truck came with 5 tires, why not check them all?

while you have the tire off, you might want to turn it around so it'll be easier next time.

not to thread jack here, but ive checked my spare and its to specs, i dont have sensors on my aftermarkets. My light came on in december and im still unable to turn it off by following the steps in the manual. Any ideas how to turn it off besides the "Tape" way. I just can't understand why it wont turn off.

Well, you answered your own question there. Time to pull out the tape or put the sensors from your original tires in a pressurized container and keep it with the truck.

there's a mod somewhere. the "brain" is located behind the HVAC controls to the left. from what i remember, there's a pin connector there that can just be unplugged to disable the system. i have been meaning to do this on my truck, but have just been too lazy :)

as for why it won't turn off...the computer needs to have five signals coming in from the sensors at all times with correct pressure or it will trigger the warning light. i imagine this is so that when a sensor's battery fails, you will be alerted that one of your tires is not being monitored by the system and you can go to your dealer and pay them $115 for a new sensor, plus re-mounting and balancing of your tire. ;)

i just ignore the damned light, like i do the seatbelt blinky one.

There is no "code" to wipe. Is the light blinking or solid? Solid indicates low pressure. Blinking indicates a bad sensor.

solid light. I just cant figure why it came on in december if i have had no sensors since the tires were put on. Maybe ill try to find the HVAC and unplug it.
