Tire pressure light will not reset. It flashes for a little over a minute and then stays on. I checked the all the tires except the spare. All are correct. Tried resetting the light. Still has the same problem. I just bought this pickup on the 18th. And the check engine light came on after 12 hours. The dealer replaced the instrument cluster, and the check engine went away. Now the tire pressure light. Could it be the spare? Should it be blinking that long?

    Thanks,
    Brad

My tire pressure light did that last month. It healed itself in a week.

A flashing TPMS light (~1-minute at start-up) indicates a malfunction somewhere within the system. A solid light at start-up indicates an air pressure issue.

If the original TPMS sensors are still in use, my guess is that you have one or more sensors with dead batteries or have low batteries.

For more on TPMS check out the TPMS Category in our Tips & Guides page.

I have same exact problem. 2009 Tacoma. Blinking on start up. Solid after a minute or so. Checked all four pressures. Reset doesn't fix it. Do we need to check the spare? I checked the DTD website and was unable to locate TPMS sensors.

The blinking light at start-up indicates a malfunction somewhere within the system and the culprit is usually a bad sensor or low/dead TPMS sensor batteries.

DTD does not currently sell TPMS sensors through the online website, but you can order them by phone (1.888.459.4080) and as noted above, sensors are currently on special at DTD for only $25.00

Does the 2007 monitor spare tire?

Not sure. But I’m pretty sure it does.
