If I haveVSS (Vehicle speed sensors) that turn on my dash light if my tire gets low onair pressure why do I need to spend a bunch of extra $$$ on these??? Plus Iwould guess to balance them you need some big weights..

What are you trying to say???? You don't need to buy additional TPMS units, your truck already has them, you can switch them out from your oem wheels if you get new wheels. They usually need replacement every 4-5 years

LOL, naw the guy at fountain tire is trying to tell me its $110 each tire to change them over to a new rim. I couldn't believe it. All you have to do is just remove them and put them into the new rim/tire combo correct?

Depends on the wheels. What wheels were they on and which ones are you getting?

I think the ones off the steel wheels are different correct?

The valve core part of the sensor and a few seals and O-rings need to be replaced when the sensor is transplanted. The tire shop should be charging you a "rebuild kit" or "service kit" instead of replacement sensors.

And sensors between steel and alloy wheels are not interchangeable due to different mounting angles.
