Firestone Destination LE2's on my 2000 Tacoma I bought last year. Still trying to dial in the tire pressure as I've recently replaced the suspension all the way around and the tie rod ends (inner and outer) as well as a few other things. What are you guys running your tires at? It's just me in the drivers seat most of the time.

I noted that the door panel sticker only has the smaller tires - Mine's a PreRunner and looks like came stock w/ the larger tires (according to my owners manual).

    Thanks!

    I've run 32 - 40 depending on the tire.

somewhere in the mid 30's is usually the sweet spot. could also try the chalk test and see the pattern and contact patch

I have the same size tires but KO2s and I run them at 35 psi on the street.

My '01 door placard says 26psi all around, but in my opinion that is a "suggestion" pertaining to the OEM tires and to give a better ride/handling mix. My rule of thumb is to go right between the door placard psi and the max psi stated on your current tire's sidewall. On mine, placard says 26psi, sidewall says 35psi max, so I run my tires 31psi.

Thanks guys....I have been at 29 all around w/ no load. I had some cupping on the fronts and I've rotated them to the back after my suspension work. I took it the Firestone for front end alignment yesterday and I need to check to see if they've modified the pressure. Last time I got them to rotate and balance they put them at 40!

I ran 40psi in my Firestone Destination A/T (265/70-16, same size as yours) and had very good tread wear. I still have them mounted on my rims in storage. got ~50k+ on them with probably another 5K+ to go still.

They were a little stiffer but hey, it's a truck. the worn suspension helped :D

Thanks Frizz...I'm also dialing in for comfort. I'll bump them up a bit from the 29 and see what it feels like. I realize it's a truck but I've reached a time in my life where comfort is enjoyable. HA!

I hear ya. I keep my S/T Maxx around 33. the suspension upgrade makes it stiffer but I've gotten used to most of it now.

Frizzman mentioned the chalk test, here's a vid showing how to adjust tire pressure...
