I recently got a full size spare and took my stock spare out from under the truck. The new sore sits in my bed til I have a swing out.

Ever since, my tire pressure light is coming on. I've checked the pressure in all of them and they are all aired up perfect. The weird thing is when I plugged in a scanner took it picks up PSI from 4 tires and says that the 5th has 0 PSI.

I thought this meant there wasn't a sensor in the new spare but it picks up temperature from all five.

    Anybody have this issue?

My 07 had a TPMS sensor in the spare. Had Firestone switch it over to the new spare for $25.

Will it pick it up if it's mounted on a swing out?

It should. TPMS sensors can pick up from a good distance. I would say at least 100 feet. When I dropped my spare off at Firestone, the light didn't come on till a mile down the road.

There might be something wrong with the sensor
