I mentioned the 'bulge' because I noticed that none of the other 25 cars in my workplace parking lot is bulging like that. Even at 32 psi, they looked like they were going flat.

No. Cold makes air dense and occupy less space, reducing pressure.

I filled to 43 psi and am not dead yet. I figure some highway driving wear will offset the 15psi dirt driving wear. But I also have steel skids, sliders, bigger tires, a diamondback, am fat, ect ect.

My 2019 SR DCLB I run at 36F 35R. Y spoke factory alloy wheels with Toyo Open Country A30 tires stock from purchased when picked up from the dealer. Seems to be the best ride and comfort for me, previously they were around 29 PSI and when hitting bumps, etc. the ride seemed harsh and a little jarring at the lower temp. Also, I downloaded the Tyre Assistant app from the Android app store and have the Carista App and OBD and use these to check my tire pressure. I regulary check my PSI with the app on my Samsung S8 phone. Various readings depending on time of day, temps, and what not. From personal observations, temps stay within 1-2 degrees. Last check was at 35.9 front and 34.8 rear. Ride comfort was much improved compared to when they were under 30. I keep a Ryobi inflator in the truck and check once a month at least. MPG seems to have improved by 1-2 MPG after the pressure increase and chalk test shows better contact patch on road, Wet tire performance to me was much improved also. I plan to upgrade to the Yokohama Geolander MT G003 (255 85R 16) in the future after my current tires wear out. Truck is a daily driver/commuter with very little off road use at the moment. Just a few dirt road trails so far nothing demanding. I do want the Yokos though, as I think they make any 4WD look like a beast.

It's a recommended psi. I run higher. I just wouldn't go above that "max psi" it says on your tires

It's both air temp and time. Even tires on a car in the showroom will lose pressure over time even if ambient air temps are constant. But I believe air tempature plays a bigger role and we notice it much more.

I always love the psi threads. The conclusions and decisions people make are entertaining.

I run the right side 10psi lower than the left to account for the extra weight on the left side.

You should balance with more hoes. A lot more fun.

Would help with balance, but hauling all of those extra hoes around would not help mileage.

    Huh...
I thought the SR5 tire was a P245/75/16/109, which should be 32 psi.

My door jamb says 29, my tires say max pressure 44. Right now I'm at 38 front, 37 rear.

    I agree with this statement.

I keep mine at the recommended 30psi as per Toyota. I do however run them at 32psi in the winter, as they fluctuate too much due to our climate.

    And my tires are oversized.

What is the size and load rating of the OEM tire?

I had mine at 32 all around but since its winter time, it went low to 29s because of the cold weather. Even if i set it back to 32 chances are it wont stay that way till the weather gets warmer...

Same here. When the temps get down to single digits and pressure drops a lb every ten degrees, that’s three lbs from 30 to 0 degrees. 32 is a safe compromise.
