    Your truck rides on air. The tires just keep it in place. With steel belts, the tread sits very flat over a very wide range of air pressure. Heat is what causes tire wear and with E range tires, it is the thickness that causes the challenge. Those extra plies don't dissipate heat as well as thinner C tires do. If you are running Es tire wear is kind of a take what you get position. You go low, they get hot. You go high and it rides like a brick. Then again, people are not typically getting Es because they like a Cadillac ride.
