Well, I am thinking of buying a new set of wheels for snow tires(so I can just swap them easily without having to go to a tire shop). I am wanting a set of cheap black wheels-- I don't even care what they look like.

I found these on jegs and was wondering if they would fit with that back spacking:

    http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/681034/10002/-1

shows to be a 16x8 with a 4.5 inch of backspace

Thanks! Sorry, I see a lot of threads when searching with raised/modified suspension, mine is bone stock.

You'd be better off picking up a deal like this. The wheels you linked will stick out further.

there are a lot of problems with 16in steel wheels on 2nd gens, something about rubbing the caliber. If I were you I would just get stock steel Tacoma wheels, they are cheap

Calipers? I don't know if and when they changed this but there is no general problem with 16" wheels on 2nd gens. At one time all SR5s and Offroads came with them. The Baja and Ivan Stewart alloys were 16". My 11 has had zero problems with them.

this is not all wheels but many people have problems with aftermarket steel wheels, wheelers makes a special wheel just for the Tacoma but I am not sure if they makes them anymore

That's more directed towards 5 lugs. 16s work fine on second gens. Most come from the factory like that. OP, look into FJ Cruiser Steel wheels. They're pretty cool looking, and rugged.

I agree. Even a set of factory alloys can be bought used for $200 or less and you won't have any fitment issues.

Toyota factory wheels whether Tacoma or fj work fine its only aftermarket wheels, the link I posted is a 6 lug. factory alloys or steelies are cheap

If you want easy, you need to aim to go with a hub-centric wheel. A lot of aftermarket wheels are lug-centric which means they require special adapters (and sometimes special lugs) in order to fit properly. Then they require special balancing methods. Total PITA and not easy or simple. You will still be forced to go to a shop for each switch, and possibly a specialty shop if you care about having properly balanced wheels/tires.

So just a thought some people don't know about when it comes to buying new wheels.
